a guard and a line in front of a bakery

So here we have a bakery around Nakanojima. Not a big deal right? It’s kind of strange to have a guard in front of a bakery and it is rare to see a line that runs outside of the bakery right? Still, it’s not that interesting.

So why did I take the picture?

the rest of the line

Because the line runs around the block reaching the bridge. There is a gap in the line in front of the koban (police box) probably because the people anxiously awaiting their baked goods probably bothered the policemen while they slept in the koban.

I’ve got to find out just how good this bakery is. More to come.

The wifey knows this place. They make really good roll cakes appparently. She usually doesn’t like sweet things but she said even she liked the cake here. One of these days I’ll have to find the time to wait forever for a cake.

Go in, wink twice with left eye, once with the right and twice with the left again and you’ll get some special “Mary Jane Cookies” and find out why everyone is really lining up.

A couple of students of mine got me a roll cake from this place. I can see why people wait. The cake is very very good. The cream is delicious.

My non-sweet-food eating wife ate half of the cake. That tells me just how good it is.
